CM Punk has consistently been in the news since his return to AEW in June. Punk once again made headlines as he was seen hanging out with WWE Hall of Famers JBL and Ron Simmons at an event in Las Vegas. Therefore, fans are now curious as to what is happening with Punk, as this comes days after his alleged backstage confrontation with Jack Perry at All In in London.
Pictures are making the rounds on the internet where Punk was seen talking to the APA at an event hosted by Cauliflower Alley Club. The three seemed to have a good time there. CM Punk and JBL worked together in WWE for years before Punk walked out of the company. However, the two continue to have a good relationship to this day. JBL makes sporadic appearances in WWE from time to time, while Punk was never seen in WWE after 2014.
This raised many eyebrows, as it came days after Punk’s rumored suspension from AEW. It was reported by multiple sources that both Punk and Perry were suspended while the investigation was ongoing. Due to this, the Real World Champion is scheduled to miss All Out, which takes place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.
The entire incident has fans confused, as Punk was surrounded by controversy for the better part of last year. He returned in June 2023, only to be suspended again, according to rumors on the internet. Therefore, fans are now looking for any new news that might pop up regarding the Second City Saint and his status in AEW.
CM Punk shares pictures with WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio
It appears as though CM Punk is not bothered by the ongoing controversies about his status in the AEW. He was allegedly suspended by the company after his backstage altercation with Jack Perry during the pre-show of All In. However, days after the show, Punk was seen attending an event by the Cauliflower Alley Club in Las Vegas. There he met a bunch of legends from the industry.
Punk has been giving an update about the meeting on his Instagram account. He also met many prominent personalities in the event. The most notable person was WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. Punk shared a picture with the legendary luchador with the caption “Legend.” The two had multiple matches when they both worked for WWE together almost a decade ago.
Mysterio is currently working in WWE and is also the United States Champion on SmackDown. He was the headliner of the Hall of Fame class of 2023. Rey faced his son Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 39 in an incredible match. The feud was highly acclaimed as it helped Dominik reach new heights as a heel.
