The wrestling legend, Sting finally hung up his boots after a four-decade-long career. After performing in several wrestling promotions, Sting wrestled his last match on AEW Revolution 2024. He teamed with his partner Darby Allin to successfully defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks. An iconic sequence from the match caught the attention of the fans leaving them shocked.

The highly-anticipated match main-evented the show. Despite his age, Sting did not back down from giving his best performance in his final match. Darby Allin was seen performing a Swanton Bomb from the top of a ladder on Nicholas Jackson placed on the glass. However, Matthews Jackson pulled Nicholas out of harm’s way and Allin collided with the glass upon his landing.

The jaw-dropping moment caught everybody’s attention. After taking the gruesome fall on the glass, Darby was seen bleeding. The 31-year-old Superstar is renowned for taking various risks throughout his matches. Moreover, the duo completed the match and successfully defended their Tag Titles and Sting finally got the much-deserving final farewell.

Especially, The Icon got wider recognition for putting over the younger talent on his way out of the company. However, Tony Khan had an announcement to make after the legend’s final match.

During the aforementioned presser, Tony Khan announced that the duo of Sting and Darby Allin would vacate the Tag Titles.
