CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023. He made a grand entry following an exit after a successful stint with AEW. His controversial departure made headlines all over the wrestling world. However, it seems Tony Khan has once again made headlines at the expense of the ‘Second City Saint.’
According to Bryan Alvarez of WON, AEW is going to present the backstage footage of All-In 2023. It is going to be the clip of the infamous backstage altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry. Alvarez confirmed this by saying that it is not a bait or switch. It is certain that Tony Khan has been up for issuing that clip for a while now.

Furthermore, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the founder of AEW is taking this decision in an attempt to defend himself from the claims of the Second City Saint. The report also states that Khan wanted to release the clip now because of the timing of the recent interview with the Best in the World on MMA Hour.
Now, this new chapter in the controversy surrounding the Straight Edge Superstar and AEW has made things even more controversial. It is going to be interesting to see what is in the actual footage of the infamous turn of events backstage at All In. Besides, if what the Best in the World said was true, then why is Khan so keen to show the footage?
What happened at AEW All In 2023?
In August 2023, AEW hosted their biggest event of all time, All In, at the Wembley Stadium. It was a successful event, as it generated a lot of hype around the promotion. However, it was also controversial due to the infamous incident between CM Punk and Jack Perry. It came to light that the two stars were involved in a physical fight backstage, which was unprofessional.
Soon after, it came out that AEW took major action by terminating the contract with the Best in the World. AEW founder Tony Khan made major claims against the Straight Edge Superstar, saying that it was an unprofessional and NSFW environment caused by Punk.
Also, Khan stated that it also led to him worrying about his life as the environment created by the Voice of the Voiceless was chaotic. After that, The Best in the World made a lot of headlines all over the news. However, in November 2023, he returned to WWE and halted all the allegations against him.
