AEW star CJ Perry, WWE’s Lana, is one of the prominent non-wrestling personalities. Her jump to AEW last year was something that fans were asking for since her husband, Miro, was also there. In recent times she has been taken off AEW television due to a concerning finger infection. And by her recent statement, the gruesome infection seems to have increased, with Perry’s condition complicating even after surgery.

Perry took to Instagram to update her followers about her subduing health due to her deadly infection. With a selfie of her on the post, Perry stated that she was taken back to the hospital because her infection was complicated. A week ago, she went through immediate surgery at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. It now seems that the infection has not healed, and a few more days in the hospital would be appropriate for her.

She added the possibility of a second surgery if needed, as the infection looks to be coming back for her. The images shared by her showed her right hand’s middle finger being the source and later having it reach her arm. The heartbreaking pictures of her time during hospitalization showed Miro coming to see her and support her in crucial times, even after the couple shares a different relationship on AEW now.

Perry plays the role of manager for Andrade El Idolo and was last seen on AEW World’s End. That being both stars’ last appearance in AEW was something that fans would remember. Idolo ended his contract at the end of the year, making his bout with Miro his last match on AEW. While Perry’s run to the hospital also took her away from AEW programming for a while until she fully recovers.

The Iron Claw premiere in Los Angeles was star-studded, with an ample amount of wrestlers and actors. The rival worlds of WWE and AEW also came together at the event to celebrate wrestling’s success with the A24 biopic. Speaking about such rivalries, AEW star CJ Perry brought up the question of a cross-promotional match.

Perry took to X and posted a picture of MJF and Baron Corbin showing their claws. A picture of them was expected as they attended the grand premiere. But the caption of the post asked whether the fans would like to see Maxwell and Baron wrestle or not. Tagging both stars in it, the question was left open for one to think about it and share their speculations in the comments.

Another moment from the event saw Friedman interacting with John Cena. A quick picture followed by their talks made the headlines, as MJF was still the face of AEW back then with his AEW World Championship. On the other hand, Cena had completed his two-month run on SmackDown.
