The AEW debut of Mercedes Mone is rumored to be at “Big Business.” The choice of venue has started the rumor mill that this could be the date and place of Mone’s debut in AEW. Moreover, the former Women’s Champion is from Boston, and it’s widely reported that she has already signed with AEW, but there is no official confirmation for this. The font used in “Big Business” also makes this obvious, as the sign is similar to her signature money sign.

Previously, it was reported that WWE had also made multiple attempts to sign Sasha Banks. As a result, the fans believed that she could appear at the Royal Rumble. However, the involved parties could not agree on the financial terms. This led to AEW poaching the services of Mercedes Mone.

AEW signing of Jennifer Pepperman’s linked with Mercedes Mone

Jennifer Pepperman was recently released from WWE, and initially, it was unclear whether she was fired or if it was a mutual termination. There was speculation that her departure could be related to the ongoing changes in WWE programming by the TKO Group. However, a few days later, it was announced that she had signed with AEW as the new Vice President of Content Development.

Dave Meltzer has reported that Jennifer Pepperman has been hired by AEW as a writer. Pepperman had recently quit WWE, and according to those in WWE, it was believed that she was AEW-bound. This belief stems from Pepperman’s close relationship with Mercedes Mone. This signing could be a significant boost for AEW, as she brings a wealth of experience to the table.

Having worked with WWE since 2017, she has accumulated valuable insights and skills in creative storytelling and character development. Pepperman’s impressive track record includes winning an Emmy Award in 2007 during her tenure with WWE.

Sports Illustrated noted Jennifer Pepperman hired by AEW as a writer. She just quit WWE last week and those in WWE believed she was AEW bound because she’s very close with Mercedes Mone.

Pepperman’s most recent role involved working with the women’s division on SmackDown, which coincided with the brand’s notable rise in the women’s division. Given her past success, Pepperman could potentially bring the same level of expertise and innovation to AEW, revitalizing and elevating the women’s division within the promotion.
