The Iron Claw Premiere was a star-studded event that attracted a lot of attention. Several odd pairs were observed, one of which was John Cena and the AEW Champion, MJF. MJF was a part of the conversation with Jimmy Trainia of SI Media. He explained how much of a big moment it was when Cena came to him.

The Salt of the Earth mentioned how their interaction began with exchanging pleasantries. Later, he would explain how Cena has been a role model for him since his childhood. His contributions to Make-A-Wish and how he transcends his wrestler background are what he has wished to imitate.

We talked and discussed about how we're fans of each other's work. I told him straight-up, I find him to be an absolute inspiration, what he’s been able to do with Make-A-Wish. He’s been able to do completely transcend outside of the professional wrestling sport and landscape is something that I’ve begun to do as well.

Both the men discussed about prospects of transitioning to acting. MJF had serious words of praise for the 16-time World Champion. Meanwhile, Cena was last seen in the ring at Crown Jewel and was involved in the latest WB Studios controversy with the movie, “Coyote vs Acme”. It seems that, unlike his previous interactions with others, his demeanor matched that of a fan, who found Cena an incredible person.

Meanwhile, Haus of Wrestling followed up on these comments and asked a few observers including a higher-up from WWE. Most of them believed that it was a work of the “storyline.” Another revealed how MJF was locked in with AEW and had signed a bumper contract before returning as the Devil at AEW All Out 2022.

MJF had a history of teasing a potential brand war between AEW and WWE, to sign him. With his recent babyface stint, he has ceased to mention this and has remained loyal to AEW. MJF is set to defend his AEW Title at the inaugural Worlds End pay-per-view scheduled to take place on 30th December 2023 against Samoa Joe.
