The AEW World Champion MJF has undergone a smooth transition from heel to babyface. The tweener phase in between those got him more lovers for the way he outdid his character. At this stage, Maxwell is still one of the top babyfaces of AEW and is over in the wrestling world. Nonetheless, all this might not be seen next year as Friedman’s contract expires on January 1, 2024, and he will surely look for his betterment.

On the October 28 episode of Collision, Max defended his AEW World Title against Kenny Omega. After the match, he and Omega addressed the crowd in Uncasville. Subtly, MJF said he would likely make a biased choice in the expected bidding war between AEW and WWE. Friedman then offered the microphone to Kenny and told him to bid adieu to the crowd after enjoying their classic match.

Before the bidding war topic, Max mentioned how Omega picked up his brain when he was 19 years old. After the 19-year-old’s match at Create A Pro Wrestling Academy, Kenny watched his match and pulled him to the side. This makes Kenny the idol for MJF and motivates him to be the best.

MJF lauds the four executive vice presidents of AEW

The formation of AEW came from the idea of four wrestling creatives alongside Tony Khan. The company started back in 2019 and it has come a long way to being a tough competition for WWE. The four vice presidents deserve the credit for the success of AEW, according to MJF.

After his match with Kenny Omega, Maxwell addressed the crowd in Uncasville. He claimed Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Cody Rhodes to be the reasons why AEW exists. He then eventually came to himself and stated that the company was the reason he became the World Champion.

Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson form the team of The Young Bucks, who are two-thirds of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship. Omega is on his singles run and performs on AEW Dynamite. On the other hand, Rhodes jumped the ship from AEW to WWE in 2022.
