The former AEW World Champion, MJF, has been a top star in All Elite Wrestling. The superstar recently lost the World Title at AEW’s World Ends pay-per-view. He has been removed from the roster list ever since. There are a number of reports on the superstar giving a vague point of view for his future. Now, a new report is shedding some light on Maxwell’s future.

As per Wrestling Observer Radio, Friedman has legitimately hurt his shoulder and is expected to be out for a while. Moreover, MJF might need surgery as well. The Salt of the Earth has been supporting his shoulder for a while now during his matches. Therefore, it is highly possible that MJF is out for some time from AEW programming.

The Salt of the Earth was last seen at Worlds End. He was attacked by Adam Cole and his faction after Cole revealed himself as the Devil. Moreover, the contract of MJF is about to expire as well, and there are no reports of him re-signing with AEW as of now. Therefore, his future with the company is also up in the air.

Things have been ambiguous around MJF’s contract with AEW. It is going to be interesting to see where the future of the former AEW World Champion is headed from here on out. Although the chances of him leaving AEW are low.

In a conversation with Wrestling Time Machine, Teddy Long expressed some praise for the former AEW World Champion. He stated that MJF is a phenomenal athlete and has done a remarkable job. Moreover, he is a generational talent and is on the path to becoming someone on a level like Randy Orton.
