The AEW All-In was a historic event in the industry of professional wrestling for multiple reasons. Numerous superstars got the chance to get a victory in front of a thunderous London crowd. One of the stars who got the victory was the UK’s own Saraya, who won the Women’s Championship in a fatal four-way at the event. While talking in the post-media scrum, Saraya talks about her potential opponents for the title moving forward.
On the show, NJPW Superstars and former WWE Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone were seen attending the show. Therefore, while talking in the media scrum, Saraya talked about facing Mone in the ring once again for the title in AEW. CEO Tony Khan also said that he tried to get Mone on the show to perform in a match, but she was not cleared to wrestle following her injury.
“That’s right, bring her on,” Saraya said. “I saw her and thought, ‘Okay, she’s going to be watching, great.’ We already have history. I wanted to win the championship in front of her, honestly. I know if she were to ever come in, she’s going to try and get this, [and] I say, absolutely, bring her on. Mercedes, if you’re watching this, we can’t wait for you to finally join us.”
However, fans would jump at the chance to see the boss in AEW. That would be a much-needed boost for the women’s roster in the company, as they have been struggling with that for some time.

How was Sasha Banks responsible for Saraya’s first retirement
Mercedez Mone, aka Sasha Banks, worked in the WWE for a long time and also worked for a long time with Paige, aka Saraya. The two also fought in multiple matches during their time together in the company before both left WWE to go to NJPW and AEW, respectively. However, Paige could not wrestle for more than 5 years because of an injury that was caused by Banks back in 2017.
Banks had injured Saraya’s back on a house show. This damaged her spine, and she was worried that she might get paralyzed if she wrestled ever again. Because of this, Saraya decided to retire at the young age of 25. She continued to be an onscreen presence in WWE until 2022, making sporadic appearances in the later years. However, she made her shocking in-ring return in AEW when she was cleared by the doctors in AEW.
