As the end of the year approaches, AEW has already wrapped up their programming on December 30. The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum hosted Worlds End for the first time with a fairly average event. With some fillers, the hype for the event completely depended on the few title matches. But a non-title match, which was remarkable for a reason, with Andrade El Idolo‘s bout with Miro being the former’s last match in AEW.

After the show ended, Worlds End Media Scrum saw Tony Khan confirm the news. Idolo, who had his contract expiring at the year’s end, would not be renewing it. Khan stated that he has great respect for Andrade, claiming his departure to be on absolute good terms. Tony mentioned how his last run saw him perform greatly in the Blue League of the Continental Classic.
