AEW President Tony Khan and CM Punk’s All Out Media Scrum resulted in a lot of backlashes, followed by an alleged physical altercation with The Elit Q. After the chaos, CM Punk quietly vacated the world title and vanished from AEW.
At the controversial Media Scrum, Punk blasted EVPs for spreading rumors he sent Colt Cabana to the ROH roster. While the AEW President Tony Khan didn’t say a word about the issue at the time of the conference, he has finally broken the silence over the issue.
Addressing the situation at the AEW Full Gear Media Scrum, Tony cleared up rumors, stating that CM Punk never demanded Colt Cabana’s move to ROH owing to personal animosity with him. “No. No, he never asked for that. The first time it came up, you asked me on a scrum call, and I wasn’t looking at your face to face. It was before Death Before Dishonor, I think. He never asked me that. “
He also said that he didn’t address the situation at All Out because he thought he would prefer to talk about the wrestling that took place on the show as Colt Cabana was also wrestling on the show. After Punk’s exit, Cabana returned to AEW Dynamite and challenged Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship in a losing effort.

CM Punk and Colt Cabana started their wrestling training at the same wrestling school (Steel Domain Wrestling School). Both then signed with Ring of Honor and referred to each other as “brothers.” While Cabana made a name for himself on the independent circuit, Punk achieved greatness in WWE.
So, what happened? How did these brothers turn each other’s arch-nemesis? After CM Punk left WWE, Cabana invited him to his “Art of Wrestling Podcast,” where Punk talked about what prompted him to leave the WWE. During the podcast, Punk alleged that WWE Doctor Dr. Chris Amann wrongfully handled his MRSA infection.

In response to this, Amann slapped Punk and Cabana with a lawsuit that Punk and Cabana won. But issues emerged after the case, as Cabana alleged that CM Punk had promised to pay his legal fees during the case, while Punk called Cabana greedy and said that he wanted to extort money out of him. They both filed lawsuits against each other but ended up dropping them in the end. And since then, both have never remained on the same page.
