Chris Jericho is facing a lot of online backlash after serious allegations emerged before AEW’s pay-per-view, World’s End. Former AEW star Kylie Rae abruptly departed from the company in 2019, which spurred a lot of questions. Due to recent events, a clip of Tony Khan‘s reaction to Rae’s release has resurfaced.

The AEW President was replying to a question about her exit from the promotion. Khan re-iterated that Kylie Rae’s departure was mutual, stating that the 31-year-old had requested her release. However, many fans have noticed how awkward the billionaire looked while addressing the situation.

Oh, she’s no longer with us. She asked for her release, and we granted it. She called me and asked if she could be released from her contract.

As soon as allegations of inappropriate behavior against Jericho emerged, fans were quick to point out this video. Therefore, the founder of the Jacksonville-based promotion was heavily criticized for his handling of the situation as well.

Previously, Khan had called out Vince McMahon for the hush money scandal that led to the Chairman’s brief retirement. Later, the former would hire Ric Flair on a multi-year deal, despite the sixteen-time World Champion’s well-known history. Needless to say, the AEW owner’s leadership will be tested in the coming weeks.

Tony Khan seemingly confirms Andrade El Idolo’s AEW departure

The AEW World’s End pay-per-view was a mixed bag of emotions. The second match of the main show saw Andrade El Idolo take on Miro. While the bout had no major implication, rumors emerged earlier that the former US Champion’s contract was soon to expire. As a result, reports suggested that the match would serve as Andrade’s final in the company.

During the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan confirmed that the star’s contract is indeed ending before the year. Furthermore, he claimed that the chances of Andrade re-signing with the company are minimal.

Prior to the show, WrestlePurists sources suggested that some believed that the former NXT Champion could show up in WWE as soon as Day 1 on Monday. Therefore, this will surely add more intrigue to the special edition, as Triple H hinted at a former WWE Champion appearing on the show.
