“Craziest thing I’ve ever fu**in seen!” – Wrestling fans disgusted after Hangman Adam Page drank Swerve Strickland’s blood on live TV at AEW Full Gear 

Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland seemed to settle their long-standing rivalry at the Full Gear pay-per-view. The two men squared off each other in a brutal Texas Deathmatch, with the former triumphing over Hangman. However, the gruesome match drew the attention of the wrestling community due to a glaringly repulsive spot.

The acrimonious clash was replete with an array of weapons, ranging from barbed wire to glass. Both Hangman and Strickland didn’t hold back from tormenting each other to an excruciating level. The brutal clash was bloodshed in the true sense. One such wild moment from the match was the bloodied stapler spot. Although Swerve managed to vanquish Hangman in the end, the latter, however, hit headlines for a mind-boggling blood spot.

In the midst of the match, a frenzied Adam Page stapled a page into Strickland’s face. Later, the 31-year-old grabbed Swerve down to drink the blood falling off his face. The two individuals transcended all the levels of brutality in this particular spot. In the end, Swerve managed to clinch the victory with obvious assistance from Prince Nana and Brian Cage.

The 33-year-old drove a cinder block against Hangman and later choked him out using a steel chain. The two men did every possible thing to live up to the format of a death match and delivered an all-time violent bout. The match, on the other hand, received mixed reactions on social media. Some of the fans were sickened to the core seeing the gory style of the match.

The explosive Texas Deathmatch between Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland has attracted a lot of attention lately. While the majority of the AEW audience was thrilled to watch the hardcore-style match, a segment of the wrestling community objected to the same spot. The staple spot, in general, received an ambivalent response from the wrestling community.

Disgusted by the bloodied spot, one user commented that this was the craziest spot they had ever seen. On the other hand, another fan claimed this was the best ever Texas Deathmatch. The match somewhat sparked a debate among AEW and WWE fans as well. One AEW fan mockingly stated that wrestlers in WWE would be drinking lemonade instead.

A WWE fan called the match “unwatchable” and argued that extreme spots like these are the reasons why AEW gets low viewership. A few fans appreciated the company for bringing back nostalgic, hardcore elements. Another fan hilariously noted that he hopes Hangman will brush his teeth after drinking Swerve’s blood. The grisly clash indeed elicited some really mixed fan reactions.
