Ever since The Best in the World CM Punk returned to WWE, the Stamford-based company has been winning the rating wars. 2023 was the biggest year in WWE history in terms of social media engagement, merchandise sales, and sponsorship revenue. According to Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select, the Jacksonville-based company is looking to acquire the services of some of the top stars like Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, and Mercedes Mone. They are also planning to run wrestling legend Sting‘s retirement match all within a month or so. This news has increased the excitement level among neutral wrestling fans.

Talking about the listed superstars’ current contract situation, Okada parted ways with New Japan Pro Wrestling, and both companies are trying to sign him. However, it seems like he is AEW-bound and the deal is almost complete. Ospreay is also expected to join AEW shortly with a unique and flexible schedule.
