AEW Dynamite went head-to-head with WWE NXT this week for the first time in almost two years. Therefore, both companies went all in to promote their episodes and filled the shows with top superstars. Nonetheless, NXT defeated Dynamite in the ratings, as AEW’s show barely crossed 600,000 viewers on Tuesday. However, it did not stop AEW President Tony Khan from going on a rant about his competitors on X.

For the past few days, Tony Khan has been taking shots at Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. When the ratings were disclosed, Khan directly called out WWE. He wrote that despite having The Undertaker, John Cena, and Cody Rhodes on the show, WWE could not get a million viewers. Previously, he also took shots at Vince McMahon and all the allegations he had made over the past year.

This side of Tony Khan is getting a lot of negative reactions from the fans. Wrestling fans from both companies are calling him out for being unprofessional. Irrespective of what the ratings were for both shows, the AEW President took shots at WWE, which were unnecessary, according to some. Therefore, Khan going on a spree and mocking his competition was not justified.

Despite doing everything in his power to sell Dynamite as a premium show, Tony Khan could not get the expected response from the fans. In fact, the viewership of AEW Dynamite went down from the previous week by a lot. Therefore, fans are calling out Khan for being aggressive on social media while failing to put his product among fans.

Wrestling fans react to Tony Khan’s online rant

For the past week, Tony Khan has been taking shots at anyone and everyone who is siding with WWE in the rating war. Therefore, fans are reacting to the meltdown from the owner of the second-biggest wrestling promotion in America. They weren’t reluctant to troll the AEW President for his unprofessional acts.

One fan reacted to Tony Khan’s rant, saying that someone needs to call his father and ask him to check on Tony. Needless to say, his father is American billionaire Shahid Khan, who is also the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Therefore, fans took a dig at the AEW President for this.

Some of the fans are calling Tony Khan “a clown,” as he seems to have lost control online. This does not put AEW in a good light and damages the image of the company as a whole. Despite putting up one of their best shows yet, Dynamite did not manage to defeat NXT in terms of viewership. However, Tony Khan’s online meltdown seems to be more damaging to the company than the loss against WWE’s developmental brand.
