Pro wrestling can be really terrifying sometimes. When two wrestlers try to put on a show for the audience, anything could go wrong if there is even a slight error. One scary incident happened in AEW when “Neck-strong” Roderick Strong was having a match with Action Andretti.
Roderick Strong took on Action Andretti on the latest episode of AEW Rampage. The match was going nicely, but things quickly turned ugly when Andretti performed a Spanish fly on Strong. Unfortunately, the execution was not good, and Strong directly landed on his neck, which could’ve ended really badly. There was pin-drop silence when the audience knew that he was in pain, but thankfully Strong was able to complete the match and even managed to pick up a win.
Roderick Strong has been doing some of his best work since his debut in AEW. There was no doubt about his in-ring wrestling abilities, but he really stepped his game up in the storyline, which also involved Adam Cole and MJF. His whole new gimmick and jealousy angle towards Cole and MJF’s friendship have truly grown on the fans.
Many fans criticized both of the wrestlers for not executing the move perfectly, ultimately putting both of their bodies in danger. But they were also relieved when they learned that Roderick was fine. Strong even shared a clip of the match on Twitter and said “Can’t keep me down”. Fans applauded him for his performance even after an injury; he did justice to the “Neck-strong” nickname after all.
