When discussing the great icons who have stepped foot between the squared circle, Sting is a name that comes to mind for all hardcore wrestling fans. He was most popularly known for his feud with legends like Ric Flair and the NWO in the 1990s. However, Sting’s long and illustrious career of over 40 years is set to come to an end on March 3, 2024, at AEW Revolution. Recently, Kevin Nash revealed why he won’t be in attendance for the special night.
Stinger wanted his very close friend and on-screen rival to be there in attendance for that event. Nash and Sting share a very close relationship inside and outside the ring. During his interview with Sean Oliver on the Kliq This podcast, Nash mentioned that he personally would have loved to be there in attendance. However, due to the positioning and the relationship that he shares with Triple H and the WWE, he won’t be at Revolution.
Sting will defend the AEW Tag Team Championships with Darby Allin against The Young Bucks. The rivalry between the two sides became personal after the EVPs attacked the 64-year-old’s sons a few weeks ago. While Nash has been denied the opportunity to be in person, Ric Flair will most likely accompany his long-time rival for his final bout.
He asked me to be a part of it but because of my positioning with the company, with WWE If I am even in the crowd…you know.

The rivalry Nash and Sting had in the late 1990s and early 2000s, mainly within World Championship Wrestling (WCW), was one of the most talked-about rivalries. Later, they would interact in Total Nonstop Action (TNA) as well. Therefore, fans have expressed their disappointment in WWE’s decision to not allow the Kliq member at Revolution.
The friendship between Kevin Nash and Triple H
The Game and Nash share a very good relationship, both professionally and personally. Both men were founding members of “The Kliq” which was a backstage group of friends in WWE during the 1990s. This group also involved wrestlers like Shawn Michaels and Scott Hall. They have also made public appearances in various interviews, mentioning their continued friendship.
The Kliq had one of the most infamous moments in professional history when they broke kayfabe during a live event in Madison Square Garden. This incident has since been referred to as “The Curtain Call.” All in all, Nash and Triple H have been through ups and downs in their careers. Despite that, they continue to maintain their friendship to this day.
