After Caitlin Clark gets BODIED Draymond Green asks Indiana Fever to ‘invest in an enforcer’
Draymond Green offers much required advise to the Indiana Fever.
Draymond has asked the Indiana Fever to go out and get an enforcer to protect Caitlin Clark
Caitlin Clark has already had a series of physicals being used against her since coming into the WNBA. Or rather, she is getting to know the difference between college and the pros. However, Chicago Sky star Chennedy Carter‘s hit on her was unwarranted. It made one NBA star to reach out and
Draymond Green called out Clark’s Indiana Fever to help her. ESPN sent out a post with a caption from Chennedy Carter’s post-game comments about the incident. Soon, the Golden State Warriors star replied from his official Instagram account with a suggestion.
Indiana better go invest in an enforcer...FAST!Draymond Green via Instagram comments
His suggestion was based off of what he saw in this incident and those that have been happening for quite some time. Clark has been subject to tougher-than-usual hits on her while on the court.
In the 3rd quarter, Caitlin Clark was talking some trash to Chennedy Carter. On the next possession, Carter came off a screen to score. Then, the moment there was only her and Clark on the court, she went up to her and bodied her even though Clark was turned the other way.
This incident brought out some strong reactions from not only fans of the game but also sporting superstars. But what Draymond Green wants for Caitlin Clark is an enforcer on the team whose presence can avoid such situations. It is especially required when none of her teammates come over to help out.
Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever end up having the last laugh
The Indiana Fever were 1-7 going into this game against the Chicago Sky. This game was billed as a re-run on the rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Sky star Reese and her teammates had a much better 3-3 record and were looking like the team on the up. Reese had national championship winner Kamilla Cardoso provide solid scoring alongside team leader Marina Mabrey.
However, it was not enough as, on the flip side, the Fever had all five starters in double-digits. Clark could not score at her college average but grabbed eight rebounds and helped orchestrate the offense. More importantly, it was the Fever’s impressive defensive performance throughout the game that mattered.
That defense helped prevent Angel Reese and her teammates from using a late rally to take the game over. Clark and her teammates will now move on to the 2nd of their back-to-back games, aiming to build on the already improving chemistry of their young team.
