World-famous musicians Kendrick Lamar and Drake were at the headlines of the music industry due to their ongoing beef, each releasing “diss tracks” for one another. Notably, many basketball stars also got involved unknowingly in this feud, with the likes of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant being questioned to pick between the two musicians.

Interestingly, despite James attending Lamar’s concert in the USA, none of the stars made a clear pick between the two musicians. However, most recently the Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry opened up on this situation as he picked the Canadian rapper Drake over Lamar in a recent interview. Curry told GQ that he is a “big Drake guy” and possibly also made his choice known to the world.

I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time. I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.

In addition, Drake has previously paid homage to Curry in one of his songs, “0 to 100 / The Catch-Up.”

On the other hand, Other NBA players have made their decision already. James was spotted in the audience, and Los Angeles residents DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook were on stage at Kendrick Lamar’s “Pop Out” event on Juneteenth. It remains to be seen how this story unfolds regarding Curry and his choice in the upcoming days.

Stephen Curry is clearly not a “big fan” of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss track

Stephen Curry picked Drake over Lamar. Notably, earlier in July 2024, Curry passed on a hint that he was not a big fan of Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss track toward Drake stating that this was “not the only song” in the USA.

The Golden State Warriors star was heard expressing his annoyance when the arena DJ in Abu Dhabi boosted the Lamar diss track after USA Basketball’s commanding 105-79 exhibition victory over Nikola Jokic and Serbia on Wednesday, July 17.

Damn with this song. It’s not the only song in America.
