WWE is known to give customized championship belts to athletes in other sports. The company has done this for football, basketball, and baseball stars in the past. This helps the company promote its product to a much larger audience. A similar event recently occurred when Triple H gave Kevin Durant a very special gift.

WWE recently took part in the Fanatics Fest in New York City from August 16–18. The event featured many famous celebrities and sportspeople, such as Tom Brady, who recreated the Hulk Hogan entrance at the show. The event also featured an appearance from Durant, who later met WWE President Nick Khan and Hunter backstage, who had a special present for the 35-year-old.

The Cerebral Assassin handed Kevin Durant a customized WWE Championship belt. The belt was comprised of a brown leather strap with white canvas and brown emblems. The center of the belt also featured a Texas Longhorns logo in white. The basketball legend said that he had always wanted one of those and posed with the belt on his shoulder.

Durant was part of the gold-winning basketball team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which prompted this gift from the King of Kings. The basketball legend now looks to be on the verge of retirement. Triple H wanted to ensure that the 35-year-old could carry the Texas Longhorns legacy no matter where he went, and now he could do that literally with his own customized belt.

Triple H allegedly pays close attention to WWE fan reception before making creative decisions

WWE CCO Triple H has received a lot of praise from fans since taking over the creative of WWE. His decisions have led to professional wrestling becoming the hottest it has ever been since the Attitude Era. A huge reason for this success is that the 55-year-old mostly gives fans what they want to see.

As per a recent report by PWInsider, Hunter pays close attention to fan feedback, not just from the live audience but also on social media. He has been scrolling through X and other social media from the Gorilla Position while the shows are on air to verify if the matches and segments land correctly with the audience, not just in the arena but also at home.

The Game has reportedly changed several decisions based on fan feedback alone. Reportedly, there were plans to change the name of The Judgment Day faction to ‘Street Trash.’ However, this did not materialize due to the severe negative backlash from fans.
