If there’s one thing that Tyreek Hill doesn’t lack is confidence in himself, whether be it his speed or dominating nature. This sheer confidence in himself is what the wide receiver believes that he can beat the 2024 Olympic gold medalist, Noah Lyles in a race. As expected the sprinter didn’t like it and took a brutal jab at the NFL player when he mentioned him recently.

The Miami Dolphins’ star receiver is counted among the best players in the league promptly known by his nickname “Cheetah,” thanks to his speed. However, while mentioning him during his recent interview with NBC Sports, the Olympic sprinter took his sweet time to recall Hill’s name.

What's the cheetah guy from football? I can't remember his name. … What's the football player who thinks he's fast name? Tyreek Hill.

Although the three-time world champion didn’t directly express his displeasure with Hill, he seemed to be talking in reference to the eight-time Pro Bowler’s interview with Up and Adams show, claiming he can beat Lyles in a race

Since Usain Bolts’ retirement, Lyles has proudly earned the title of the fastest man in the world this month after winning the 100-meter race in an astonishing record of 9.79 seconds, followed by a bronze in the 200-meter.

Tyreek Hill raises eyebrows over Noah Lyles’ COVID-19 claim

As Lyles claimed of not knowing Hill’s name by heart, it appears the race thing wasn’t the only reason that displeased the former. After winning the gold in the 100-meter, when the Olympic sprinter failed to win gold in the 200-meter due to exhaustion, he claimed to have COVID-19.

Noah Lyles can't nothing after what just happened to him. To come out and pretend like he's sick, I feel that's like horseradish.

After finishing behind Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo and American Kenny Bednarek, Lyles was escorted into a wheelchair after he couldn’t hold his balance out of exhaustion. Though many questioned the sprinter’s credibility over his surprising COVID-19 claim, his diagnosis was confirmed by USA Track & Field later on.
