Mark Hunt “The Super Samoan” is just a day away from his Sydney Super Fight against former professional Rugby League Player and current boxer Paul Gallen. The fight is scheduled for 6 rounds and is going to be held at Bankwest Stadium in Parramatta, New South Wales.

There was a lot of drama at the weigh-ins, as a charged up Mark swung wildly at the calm Gallen, much to the surprise of every one present there. The Samoan, sure did bring a lot of energy to the weigh-in and the stare down, and it is almost likely that he will do the same in the fight as well.

“He’s been talking a whole lot of garbage, and now we’re here” – Mark Hunt on Paul Gallen

In the interview after the weigh-in, Mark Hunt said, “Five years this has been in the making. He’s been talking a whole lot of garbage, and now we’re here. It’s showtime for this guy, let’s see if he can cut it. His talk increases my fire to put him to sleep.”

An amused Paul Gallen said, “That’s a bit shocking that. He’s trying to intimidate me — we said from day one we’d be professionals, it’d be a respectful build-up, but that shocked me a little bit. As I’ve said from day one, I don’t need any motivation… I’m just here to get the win, go home to the family and have some fun for Christmas.”

Paul Gallen has had quite a remarkable career after turning pro, he currently has 9 wins and 1 draw from his 10 fights. But, he will be wary of the threat, the former UFC knockout artist Mark Hunt possesses. Mark Hunt is one tough man, and he goes into the fight 24lbs heavier than Paul Gallen, and given the speed he has from his MMA background, it will be hard for Paul Gallen to knock him out.

Who have you got? Can Paul Gallen upset Mark Hunt?
