AJ Brown doesn’t care about what people think about his reading habits. During the Philadelphia Eagles’ crucial wild card fixture against the Green Bay Packers, the star wide receiver was seen reading Jim Murphy’s Inner Excellence, which created quite the buzz on the internet.
As it was a slow day for Brown in the game, he resorted to reading Murphy’s book to pass the time. The Eagles won the game 10-22, but the 27-year-old only caught one pass all night, adding to the already accumulated frustration throughout the season. Murphy’s book comes in handy in these sorts of situations.

However, many viewed Brown’s actions as stemming from his down year while running back Saquon Barkley took the majority of the load of scoring the touchdowns. Brown gave a fitting reply to his doubters.
Brown further elaborated that it wasn’t the first time he brought the book with him to the dugout. On the contrary, he frequently consumes Murphy’s words.

“None of that really matters…I’m going to continue to be myself. I’m not pretending, it’s not a facade…Who cares who don’t like it. I’m a 3x All-Pro”

Eagles head coach will not stop AJ Brown from reading Jim Murphy’s book during game
Every athlete tends to use different methods to get into their game phase. One good example would be Super Bowl-winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ consumption of psychedelics. Brown finds peace in reading books and being a 3x All-Pro wideout certainly proves that it works.
When reporters asked Nick Sirianni about Brown’s reading habits, the Eagles head coach uttered the same words as the former second-round draft pick.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts backed Sirianni’s words that Brown always brings a book with him, but the Pro Bowler claimed he never saw the receiver read it.
After the game, Jalen Hurts was asked about AJ Brown reading on the bench:

"I've never seen him read, I've seen the book in his hands… everybody finds their flow in different ways."
Sounds like Jalen needs to thank Jim Murphy for helping his WR1 lock in 💯 pic.twitter.com/lzEMMog2E2
Brown’s actions kind of worked like an endorsement for Jim Murphy’s book. It became the No. 1 best seller on Amazon as per NBC Sports. Murphy personally called Brown to thank him and perhaps recommended a few other books that he should check out.
