AJ Brown always keeps his promises. The Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver won his first-ever Super Bowl by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and caught the next flight to Philadelphia to surprise a plane crash survivor in the hospital.
Brown was determined to win the Super Bowl and received extra incentive when he heard he came across a video message about a 10-year-old boy who survived a plane crash. The 3x All-Pro WR put out a tweet, promising to visit the boy after lifting the Lombardi.
A few days later, Brown showed up at the hospital with the Super Bowl trophy to surprise the boy. The boy’s mother, Lal Sayon Hamiel/Lashawn Hamiel, posted a long thank-you message on Facebook for Brown.

Lal Sayon Hamiel wrote

Trey Howard is the brave 10-year-old boy who shielded his little sister when a Northeast Philadelphia plane crashed near their car. The plane crash reportedly injured 24 and seven unfortunate souls lost their lives.
Howard and his family were taken to the nearby hospital for treatment. As per his father’s testimony, the doctors performed a difficult brain surgery on little Trey. After he regained consciousness, he asked two things of his father. Trey’s first question brought tears to his dad’s eyes.
He asked me, ‘Daddy, what’s today?’ I was like, ‘Monday.’ ‘OK, wait. We didn’t play yesterday did we?’ ‘No, you didn’t miss the Super Bowl.
Andre Howard told AB6 Philadelphia.

He was nearly killed by flying debris while shielding his sister during the deadly plane crash in Philadelphia.
His father just revealed the first thing he said after he survived brain surgery:
"Daddy, did I save my sister?”

Of course, Trey was most concerned about his sister above anything else. Andre continued to recall Trey’s words.
‘Daddy, did I save my sister? You told us to get down. I was just trying to help my sister.. next thing I know, I thought I died.’
Speedy recovery!

AJ Brown read about Trey Howard and his love for the Philadelphia Eagles and promised to drop by after the Super Bowl.
A great gesture from Brown. It was a moment to savor for a little boy who loves football and the Eagles.
