With the Philadelphia Eagles vying for their second Vince Lombardi Trophy, fans are placing high hopes on key players like wide receiver AJ Brown, who is coming off a dominant performance against the Washington Commanders in the NFC championship game. However, concerns have arisen among fans as Brown revealed suffering from an injury since the commencement of the playoffs.

While talking to the reporters on Wednesday, the All-Pro wideout revealed that he is struggling immensely with an injury in the first two games of the playoffs that affected his performance as well. But by the championship game, he was back in his form, posting six receptions on eight targets for 96 yards and a touchdown.

“Honestly, I was hurt. Last game, I got healthy. And you all saw it. I’m ready to go. I’m truly grateful,” Brown told the reporters, via John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Although the veteran receiver had a slow start to the playoffs, he recovered and regained his strength by the time his team reached the Super Bowl LIX. And he, as well, earned praise for his standout performance in the title game.

AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith could pose problems for Chiefs

While the Eagles are mindful of facing Spagnuolo’s defense, the Chiefs will certainly have a tough time handling the wide receivers of Philly. Being part of one of the most explosive offensive lines, Brown and DeVonta Smith are known to be big play markers for the Eagles, which ESPN’s NFL Writer Tim McManus believes can become a problem for the Chiefs.

They’ll need the kind of efficiency out of the pass game they received in the NFC Championship when Hurts went 20 of 28 for 246 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions for a quarterback rating of 110.1. It marked just the second time since mid-November that Hurts threw for 200-plus yards.

Even though the odds are against Philly, the kind of offensive line it possesses comprising Brown, Smith, tight end Dallas Goedert, quarterback Jalen Hurts, and running back Saquon Barkley; they can defeat the Chiefs if only they can avoid critical mistakes as a former Cowboys star advised.
