NFL wide receivers are notorious for flashing their cash and dousing themselves in extravagance—AJ Brown is not one of them. Despite being one of the best and highest-earning wideouts in NFL history, the Philadelphia Eagles wideout isn’t among that bunch. He prefers to live a modest life, judging by his car.
On Sunday, Brown pulled up in his car outside Lincoln Field in Philadelphia for the Eagles NFC Divisional round game against the Los Angeles Rams. A clip surfaced on social media of Brown walking out of his car with a book in his left hand.
For a change, instead of focusing on the book, fans zoomed in on the car he brought with him. It was an old Honda Accord, which, according to some, felt out of place, especially for someone who signed a $96 million contract ($33 million a year) for three years before the 2024 season began.

The top variant of the Honda Accord (top variant) costs just over $34,000 in the USA. With a salary package like his, AJ Brown can easily afford a much fancier car, but it seems his primary goal is going from point A to point B rather than racing through the streets of Philly. Wise choice, unlike some others who lose their heads driving fast and invite trouble.
AJ Brown’s outing against the Los Angeles Rams did not go according to plan
The car may be a new talking point, but for the past few days, social media was obsessed with his reading habits. Ever since NFL cameras filmed him reading Jim Murphy’s Inner Excellence during the wild-card win over the Green Bay Packers, fans have wanted to know more about what kind of books he likes to read.
The chatter reached a certain degree that his less impressive numbers got overshadowed. When a section of the fans called Brown out to focus more on his game he replied;
Brown’s reaction indicated that he was ready to face the Rams, a team against whom he put up 109 yards and 1 touchdown during the regular season. A similar performance would have put a lid on the negative comments. Unfortunately, Brown only caught two passes all night from 7 targets for 14 yards. Quarterback Jalen Hurts relied mostly on running back Saquon Barkley once more.
During the post-game press conference, the former second-round pick said the snowy conditions in Philly affected his play.

Barkley had 26 carries for 205 yards (7.9 yards per carry) and 2 rushing touchdowns. The game ended 22-28 in favor of the Eagles, who qualified for the NFC Championship game to face the Washington Commanders, who defeated the Detroit Lions on Saturday.
