When the player himself goes out of his way to advise fantasy managers to drop him from their teams, it is a clear indication that there’s tension behind the scenes. The player in question is none other than the downhearted AJ Brown.

Brown recently collaborated with Janky Rondo, a popular streamer. The All-Pro wide receiver hopped into his Twitch stream for a one-on-one chat about the Eagles’ season. During the stream, Brown told fantasy managers to drop him from their team due to how the season has played out so far.

If you got me on fantasy, get rid of me.

A concerned Rondo asked Brown if everything was “good” with him. The 28-year-old chuckled upon hearing the question and quickly asked this.

No. Where have you been?.. Family’s good. Everything else? No.. It’s a sh**-show.. You on some ‘How you been?’ Struggling brother.

Brown isn’t pleased with how the Eagles’ coaching staff utilizes him on game days. Even as the team’s top receiver in Philly, he feels underused. His 31 receptions on 54 targets and 3 touchdowns include two 100-yard and zero 10-reception games.

When a fellow WR Jaxson Smith-Njigba is on pace to break legendary Calvin Johnson‘s receiving yards record, and Puka Nacua is making jaw-dropping plays, it’s only humane for Brown to feel disappointed. Honestly, it’s remarkable that he did not request a trade, even though football pundits expected him to.

NFL insiders reported that several teams showed interest before Eagles’ general manager Howie Roseman shut down all trade discussions. Brown stayed with the Eagles, much to the delight of the fans. The first game after the closure of the November 4 trade deadline yielded just 2 catches for 13 yards, adding fuel to the already raging fire in Brown.

AJ Brown refused to apologize for his earlier remark on the Eagles’ season

Brown’s statement on the stream became national news. He received pushback from the Eagles fan base because the team is 7-2 and well on the way to establishing themselves as the best team in the NFC.

At this point, Brown is a distraction, not just for the fans but also for the locker room. Brown cares a lot about his image in Philly, but he is not ready to be just another guy on a football team that won a ring.

The new season brings new challenges, and it’s in the team’s best interest to adapt to the new circumstances. What worked last year may not be viable this year. That’s why Brown refused to retract his words from the stream.

I said all the right answers, and I still made a story. In that moment where I’m just talking to my friend [Janky Rondo], having fun with my friend, I’m not apologizing for that. Because, like I said, if you have eyes, you can see that. And so it’s not that I was trying to throw anyone under the bus, I’m literally trying to laugh through this sh**. This sh** is tough. But I’m trying to make fun of the situation to get through it. It is what it is.

AJ Brown said from the Eagles locker room

The Eagles barely beat the Green Bay Packers during Monday Night Football. Penalties, bad quarterback play from Jalen Hurts, and lackluster playcalling from Nick Sirianni nearly cost the Eagles the tie.

Next week, the Eagles play the 6-3 Detroit Lions. With Dan Campbell taking over offensive playcalling duties, the Lions recorded a blowout win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday. The Eagles are the favorites to beat the Lions, but on their day, the Lions can defeat anyone.
