Hulk Hogan‘s immense popularity has made him transcend the boundaries of professional wrestling and turned him into a mainstream celebrity. The former WWE Champion now looks to leverage his fame to enter the world of politics. However, many fans and wrestlers, including AJ Francis, have severely condemned many of his ideologies.
Hulk Hogan recently appeared at a promotional event called Thirsty Cowboy for a beer. However, it did not take long for his speech to turn political. He asked the audience if they wanted him to body-slam Kamala Harris. The audience erupted in cheers upon this question. He received even more cheers when talking about hitting her with a leg drop.
The Hall of Famer further asked if Kamala Harris was a chameleon. He even questioned her Indian heritage before quickly moving away from the topic. He acknowledged that such comments would get him in trouble and claimed that it was the beer talking.
TNA Star AJ Francis, formerly known as Top Dolla, re-posted Hogan’s clip on X, saying that it was highly embarrassing for him to admit that his favorite wrestler growing up was the Hulkster. The 71-year-old dominated professional wrestling for most of the 1980s, and this is the reason why many modern professional wrestlers have entered the business.
The Hulkster has expressed strong support for Donald Trump in the upcoming US presidential elections. Therefore, it was no surprise when he started taking shots at the Republican’s rival. Hogan has even shown interest in wanting to run for president someday and rule the country with an iron fist.
Eric Bischoff reveals why Hulk Hogan did not want to work with WWE Hall of Famer
Hulk Hogan was one of the central characters on WCW TV during the mid-90s and wrestled many matches for the company. However, he refused to step inside the squared circle with Vader. In an episode of the 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff revealed the reason for this reluctance shown by Mr America.
Vader was infamous for working in a highly stiff style. Bischoff agreed with this sentiment after citing incidents of him breaking people’s backs and even rupturing Sting‘s eardrum. Although Hogan was somewhat open to working with him, he wanted to ensure that the Hall of Famer did not overdo the physicality.
Hulk Hogan didn’t want to work with Vader because Vader was stiff. Well, are we talking about the guy who broke someone’s back or ruptured Sting’s eardrum? Come on, Vader did work stiff.Eric Bischoff on 83 Weeks
Eric Bischoff said that the Hulkster was popular because of his on-screen character, and not because of a stiff wrestling style. He was not like Mick Foley who would take bumps from high places or throw himself onto thumbtacks. Eventually, Hogan refused to work alongside Vader as he only wanted to step into the ring with wrestlers who would complement his style the best.
