Top Dolla, also known as AJ Francis, is currently having one of the best runs of his career in TNA wrestling. Unfortunately, he wasn’t that successful in WWE and was released by the company last September. In a recent update, the former Hit Row member revealed that he has had a few talks with Triple H and Paul Heyman, and a return to WWE is on the cards.

While speaking on The Angle podcast, AJ Francis talked about the possibility of wrestling again in the Stamford-based company. He stated that although he had spoken with Triple H and Paul Heyman last week, he was focusing on his own thing. The 34-year-old star added that in WWE, he was just a big man in the group who stood there.

However, things soon changed in TNA, as hardcore legend Tommy Dreamer made sure that he got the mic on every show. Francis showed unmatched confidence in his mic skills and stated that he was better than everybody. He even challenged his critics to a promo battle with him.

The former Hit Row member previously talked about having a healthy relationship with people in WWE. He stated that after hearing the news of his release, he was a bit frustrated, but then he found a new game plan. Recently, he was crowned the new TNA Digital Media Champion on the May 19 episode of TNA. Although he was often ridiculed because of his botches, he has proved everybody wrong with his run outside WWE.

The former Top Dolla has really evolved into a star performer in TNA. Along with fans, the company’s biggest star, Joe Hendry, also couldn’t stop praising him. The rising sensation opened up about his complicated relationship with Top Dolla.

While speaking with Fightful, he revealed that there was a love-hate relationship between them. Hendry admitted that they had special chemistry and worked really well together. However, he also disclosed that Francis was bad on social media, and they both annoyed each other a lot.

With AJ. We have this love-hate thing. He’s absolute unbearable on social media. AJ is the perfect foil for what I do. Us working together is a really good example of everybody winning. It was a great piece of business.

The Scottish wrestler admitted that the 34-year-old star was way better than people thought he was. Recently, he appeared on the July 9th episode of NXT. Hendry teamed up with the former NXT Champion Trick Williams and won against Ethan Page and Shawn Spears. Fans are clamoring to see more of him in the Stamford-based company.
