“I know that my dog is famous,” AJ Lee breaks silence on involvement in husband CM Punk’s ongoing heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre

Since returning to WWE, CM Punk has kept busy in an intense rivalry with Drew McIntyre. Things turned personal when McIntyre not only stole Punk’s family bracelet but wore it around while mentioning the latter’s wife and dog repeatedly. As such, AJ Lee recently voiced her opinion on the biggest WWE feud of the year and about her involvement in it.
Speaking with ComicBook, Lee revealed that she wasn’t following the ongoings of her husband’s rivalry. Although she is vaguely aware of it, the former WWE star claimed that she is more interested in the women’s division instead. Furthermore, AJ admitted that she knew about her dog, Larry’s, rising popularity within the WWE Universe. In fact, she teased that new Larry-based merchandise would be arriving soon.
Regardless, Lee said that she was “happy” for Punk. The former Divas Champion left WWE after retiring from in-ring competition in 2015. In addition to that, AJ Lee confirmed that her husband’s controversial departure played a role in her decision.

Therefore, when Punk made his shocking return, fans were curious as to whether Lee would come back as well. The Second City Saint has stated in interviews that the decision was up to the 37-year-old. However, he would be thrilled to work alongside her.
Speaking of his rivalry with Drew McIntyre, CM Punk will finally look to put down The Scottish Warrior once and for all. On this week’s Raw, Adam Pearce announced that the two rivals would square off in their final bout in Hell in a Cell. With that said, fans will have to wait and see how things transpire inside the demonic structure at Bad Blood.
AJ Lee names the two WWE female stars that she closely follows
During the same interview, AJ Lee disclosed that she was obsessed with women’s wrestling. Talking about the current scenario, Lee mentioned that Naomi and Bayley are her “girls.”
The former Divas Champion worked alongside Naomi during her WWE run, with both women rising through the ranks at the same time. Meanwhile, AJ’s friendship with Bayley came about as the former played a crucial role in helping build The Role Model’s wrestling career.
Both Bayley and Naomi are two of the biggest stars of WWE’s women’s division. The former Damage CTRL leader recently lost her Women’s Championship against Nia Jax at SummerSlam.
Meanwhile, Naomi has feuded with Blair Davenport on SmackDown. Interestingly, the former Women’s Champions have formed an alliance on the blue brand, taking on the likes of Jax and Tiffany Stratton.
