AJ Styles has been absent from WWE TV since suffering a leg injury on SmackDown a few weeks ago. Amid his recovery, there was some speculation that TNA approached him about inducting him into their Hall of Fame. However, WWE denied him the honor, according to Fightful.
AJ Styles has now broken his silence over the matter by refuting those claims. Through an X post, he revealed that even though TNA approached him for the Hall of Fame, he personally declined the offer. As an active wrestler, the former WWE Champion has no interest in being inducted at this time.
It was an apt remark by The Phenomenal One, who intended to clear the air about his differences with WWE. Besides, he has been silently recovering from his Lisfranc injury he sustained a few weeks ago. There have been a lot of rumors about the legitimacy of the injury, with Styles’ WWE future also up in the air.
I’m still an active wrestler…I hope. I made the decision not to go into the TNA HOF, not WWE. I appreciate TNA, but I don’t want to go into any HOF as long as I’m still active. My choice https://t.co/lvXCMG4pki

The 47-year-old is admittedly approaching the twilight years of his career. He has often talked about his retirement from professional wrestling. Needless to say, a Hall of Fame induction for him in both WWE and TNA is imminent after having such an illustrious career of over 25 years across different promotions all over the world.
What is next for AJ Styles upon his WWE return?
AJ Styles is expected to miss WWE programming for an indefinite period of time. Although it has not been confirmed, it can be speculated that he might make his WWE return around the time of the Royal Rumble next year. Therefore, he might march toward a WrestleMania feud thereafter.
Considering his prior interviews, 2025 could be one of the last years of The Phenomenal One. Therefore, he might face a top star like John Cena next year. In fact, there are chances he might wrap up his WrestleMania career with a championship victory.
Moreover, there are certain dream matches still left for him in the company. Stars like Logan Paul, CM Punk, and Gunther are among the names that have been pitched to be his next opponents in WWE. As such, he might finally make these dream matches come to reality upon his return.
