There is a lot of uncertainty around the Showcase of the Immortals heading into WrestleMania 41 season. WWE can take many different directions for the show, and nearly all the top stars can get involved in several potential feuds. However, it appears that WWE might be closing in on finalizing the opponent for AJ Styles in Las Vegas.
According to WrestleVotes, Styles’ most likely opponent for WrestleMania 41 is Finn Balor. Now, WWE has teased a lot of tension within The Judgment Day over the past few weeks. Thus, many thought that the Irish wrestler could take on Dominik Mysterio in Las Vegas. However, there seem to be no plans for that at the moment.
WWE has also teased a feud between Styles and Bron Breakker since the Phenomenal One moved to Raw. The former WWE Champion was also seen standing tall over the rising superstar on the latest episode of Raw. If this match is not planned for WrestleMania, then Balor will be the most likely opponent for the 47-year-old.
Per WrestleVotes, AJ Styles vs Finn Balor has been considered as a "First Time Ever at WrestleMania" match for WrestleMania 41.

The report also stated that the undercard for WrestleMania is still being worked on, and there seems to be a lot of shuffling going on. On the other side of things, the main event picture may not be set in stone either. In fact, there is a backstage push within the company for CM Punk to get involved in a match against Cody Rhodes and John Cena.
What is the history between AJ Styles and Finn Balor?
AJ Styles and Finn Balor share a long history in professional wrestling, dating back long before either of them joined WWE. Their first interaction occurred in 2008 when these two found themselves on opposing sides of a six-man tag match in NJPW.

Finn Balor would later go on to form Bullet Club, one of the most iconic wrestling factions of all time. After the inaugural Universal Champion left NJPW, Styles would go on to become the leader of this faction. After The Good Brothers also joined WWE, the promotion subtly referred to this history on the main roster.
Although they never had a one-on-one match in NJPW, they had several contests while they were both in WWE. Eventually, they were aligned together in 2022 before The Prince shockingly joined The Judgment Day. This is easily a feud that WWE can reignite for WrestleMania, and these two will surely put on a stellar in-ring match.
