“Not one n***a!” A’ja Wilson and WNBA stars stand no chance against NBA players claims ex-champ

Jeff Teague believes NBA role players can beat WNBA superstar A'ja Wilson in a 1v1 game

A’ja Wilson is without a doubt the best women’s basketball player in the WNBA. Her exploits at the Paris Olympics went on to add the notion that she might be the best in the world. With such talent, she should not find it that difficult to play against some NBA players.

The three-time WNBA MVP gave her opinion on the matter when speaking on the Roommates Show. When New York Knicks star and podcast host Josh Hart asked her who would win in a 1v1 game to 11, she responded that she would win it 11-8.

Hart was not ready to accept the score, but the two-time WNBA champion stuck to her answer. That claim came to the attention of The Club 520 podcast where their host asked NBA Champion Jeff Teague if A’ja Wilson could defeat NBA players.

No. Not one. Yall know that n****s off the bench used to average 40 in high school and 20 in college. She’s not beating a n***a in the G League. She’s not beating a n***a in college.

Teague added that even bench and G-League players in the NBA would be too much for A’ja Wilson. The difference in athleticism will make it difficult for the Las Vegas Aces superstar to keep up. That is even if she starts first with the ball as she proposed while on The Roommates Show.

Hall of Famers chime in on A’ja Wilson NBA battle

The conversation of A’ja Wilson talking about defeating Josh Hart spread to other podcasts as well. Two of the hardest players in basketball history, Paul Pierce brought up this topic on KG Certified where he said.

A’ja could get a bucket in the NBA. If you gave her like 20 minutes, she could get a bucket in the league.

Paul Pierce said

The NBA Champion felt the Las Vegas Aces superstar could score a basket if she gets 20 minutes on the court. That is to say, she would need that many attempts to figure out how to score against NBA stars. It was again a thinly veiled suggestion that WNBA stars could not play against their male counterparts.

But they feel if anyone could do it, it would be A’ja Wilson considering she has the skill moves, size and intelligence to end up with a bucket. The 28-year-old could do at least that as others may not even get a shot off. They too feel the athletically gifted male players will stop them from getting one off.
