The LV Aces A’Ja Wilson and the Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo have kept their relationship sneaky for a while. The reigning MVP hard-launched her rumored boyfriend, on the special occasion of her jersey retirement. The South Carolina Gamecocks organized an event in Columbia to hang Wilson’s no. 22 jersey in the rafters. Adebayo was present as the Gamecocks honored their 2017 NCAA champion.

Bam Adebayo had an unforgettable day as he hit the game-winner over the San Antonio Spurs. Hours later, the Heat’s star flew down to attend A’Ja Wilson‘s college jersey retirement. The WNBA star’s family, teammates, and coaches were at courtside along with Adebayo. Before the jersey was raised, Wilson gave a speech thanking the people in her life.

During the speech, the LV player indirectly thanked her NBA boyfriend.

I wouldn’t be who I am today without the love, support, and sacrifices of so many people. What a blessing to have those most special to me courtside today. Especially, my favorite Olympian from out of town.

The 28-year-old had a huge smile on her face as the crowd cheered in the background. As both Adebayo and Wilson won gold medals last year, it was obvious who the WNBA star was referring to. The couple’s infamous secret handshake was also revealed at the time. But now it seems that the players are ready to make things official with matching suits at the jersey retirement.

Adebayo shows support to Wilson for all of her achievements. The 27-year-old cheekily congratulated his rumored partner for her ‘Unanimous’ MVP award last season. Hence, it was not surprising that Adebayo was courtside for the jersey retirement. But the ‘thanks’ from Wilson caught fans off-guard.

Adebayo and Wilson have been secretive about their relationship for months. The couple avoids getting spotted at all costs but fans always find a way. The basketball world was sent into a frenzy when the athletes attended Dwyane Wade’s statue unveiling together. But slowly the couple is making things public.

Due to their sneaky linkups, Wilson and Adebayo often get teased by other members of the basketball world. A couple of months ago, Knicks Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart trolled Wilson on their podcast. Now, after the jersey retirement, Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley joked about Adebayo’s attendance for the alumni’s honor.

I think Bam Adebayo was here…I don’t know why. But it was great to have him in the building after he hit the game-winner last night.
