ATP Estoril Open 2021: Albert Ramos Vinolas claims the title; defeats Cameron Norrie in three sets

Albert Ramos Vinolas claimed the title in Estoril, as he defeated Cameron Norrie in a three set thriller in the finals. The Spaniard lost the first set, but made a quick recovery and claimed the next two sets. Vinolas entered the tournament as the seventh seed, and defeated some good players throughout the week.
The final score-line of the match read, 6-4, 3-6, 6-7 in Vinolas’ favor. Cameron Norrie fought right until the end, but his opponent was the better player on the day. The seventh seed defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the semifinals, and Fernando Verdasco in the first round clash.

Albert Ramos Vinolas served up eight aces, as compared to Norrie’s six aces. Both players had impressive first serve accuracy in the final. Vinolas had a first serve percentage of 90%, whereas, the Briton had a first serve accuracy of 97%.
Both players had equal break point opportunities, as each player converted four out of their 11 chances. Vinolas won 71% of his points on second serve, which was a vital factor that contributed to his win. The Spaniard won 108 points, whereas, Norrie won 98 points in the final.
Both players will now compete in the Madrid Masters in the upcoming week. Vinolas opens his campaign against Taylor Fritz, whereas, Norrie plays his first round match against Filip Krajinovic.
