Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has seen his stakes rise through the past few years, gaining a new fanbase. Among them, one fan who stands out is his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo‘s eldest son, Cristiano Jr., who was most recently spotted in a Garnacho shirt.
Cristiano Ronaldo‘s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez shared images of a 14-year-old Cristiano Jr. wearing a Manchester United jersey, with the number 17 and Alejandro Garnacho‘s name written on it. He wore the jersey while sitting by his study table, doing his homework. It will surely be a moment of pride for the Argentinian forward, who has admired Cristiano since his early playing days. He had also played alongside the Portuguese legend at United, making six appearances together.
Garnacho has often been seen emulating Ronaldo’s celebrations after scoring goals, and he even went on to replicate the 39-year-old forward’s iconic overhead kick during a match. There has been rumours of the 20-year-old forward inheriting the No.7 shirt in Manchester that Ronaldo once wore in the future. Cristiano Jr.’s endorsement of the young forward could increase his fame in the footballing world, with Garnacho even backing many of Ronaldo’s recent statements against United manager Erik ten Hag.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Jr., who was spotted in jersey belonging to the young forward, could now step into the footballing world, after having been part of the Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United academies in the past.
Forward Alejandro Garnacho withdraws from Argentina squad due to knee problems
Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho has withdrawn from the Argentinian squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifier matches, against Venezuela and Bolivia. He has reportedly complained of knee problems, hindering his recent involvement with the national team.

The 20-year-old forward, during United’s match against Aston Villa last weekend, had to play with strapping on his left knee, showing signs of an injury. The forward has decided to stay back in England, and not join Lionel Scaloni‘s side, in order to regain his form and fitness. Meanwhile, Garnacho has been replaced by young Leicester City attacking midfielder, Facundo Buonanotte, for the upcoming international break.
Garnacho will be joined by Noussair Mazraoui, who has also decided to stay back in Manchester, after backing out of the Moroccan national team for their upcoming matches. He was taken off at half-time, during the match against Aston Villa.
