The 2025 Chilly Bowl Nationals witnessed a flock NASCAR driver starting the race, with the goal of winn9ing the Golden Drill. The entry list included the likes of Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Christopher Bell and Ty Gibbs. While most of the Cup racers disappointed the fans, Larson proved he is the class of the bunch winning the A-Main event.
The NASCAR racer was also involved in some significant incidents at the track, with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. causing the biggest controversy by deliberately wrecking his rival driving into him. He wasn’t given any significant penalty, and some other drivers got away with few antics as well, causing some fans to accuse biased officiating.
Probably why any driver or team with Nascar name got special treatment and biased officiating

Hendrick Motorsports’ Alex Bowman, who fielded his own team in the event, was frustrated with such claims on social media and he took the criticism, especially against his team personally. He called out the fan for the accusation, highlighting everything he did was legal and even branded the account as fake.
Typically don’t respond to fake accounts but I take this pretty personal considering I mounted, sized, grooved, and ground all 44 tires we brought to Tulsa. You should probably come up with better rumors since Chilibowl posts the receipts…. pic.twitter.com/itBuivkQHW

Alex Bowan clarifies further allegation about grinding tiers
The same fan later changed his accusation, asking Bowman about his involvement with 4kings and Seymour teams. He claimed that Alex Bowman Motorsports was grinding tiers with the two teams and highlighted how Chilly Bowl shut them down.
Yea I was given wrong information on that one and later corrected that your team was just grinding tires along with the 4kings and Seymour teams and nothing illegal was going on but the chili bowl made the guy shut down the grinding station and confiscated tires, this true?

The No:48 HMS driver gave a proper response to these comments. He highlighted that he had no involvement with the two teams involved and Chilly Bowl did the right thing closing down the shop, if anything illegal happened. Bowman himself grinded the tiers, according to the rules and never used external support.
We had zero to do with that team, they shut that guy down for a reason. I ground all our stuff myself. If you want a good rumor, wet grinding with simple green doesn’t really make tires fail tire tests…

The comments from the veteran NASCAR racer shows his team was innocent and weren’t involved in any of the accused acts. It would be interesting to see if the racer as well as Chilly Bowl will address the controversy on social media.
