Alex Ocean issues an apology for insulting Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero is undoubtedly one of the most love WWE wrestlers of all time. It has been 15 years since the wrestler passed away. Fans and wrestlers from all over the world have been paying tribute to the wrestlers. Everyone is reminiscing the memorable wrestling moments that Guerrero has provided.

But Alex Ocean, an independent wrestler, decided to take a completely different route. Instead of paying any tribute to Guerrero, Ocean decided to insult the wrestler. The incident took place on the 14th of November.

Ocean was appearing on an ICW No Holds Barred Show. He was scheduled to face another independent wrestler, Akira. As the match progressed, Ocean hit the Three Amigos Suplex. Wrestling fans know this as a move popularized by Eddie Guerrero. It seemed like Ocean was paying a little tribute to Guerrero.

But fans were in for a rude shock. Alex Ocean, during the match shouted at the top of his voice, “F*** Eddie Guerrero.” This obviously did not go down well. Fans who were in attendance, and also the fans all over the global took to Twitter to criticize Ocean.

Alex Ocean clarified that his move was intended to generate some heat. But his clarification isn’t justified. Insulting a deceased wrestler, that too a day after his death anniversary, to generate heat is wrong.

Alex Ocean took to Twitter to issue an apology to Eddie Guerrero’s family and all the fans whom he offended. Ocean realized hua mistake and acknowledged the tasteless remark. He agreed that he was out of line and promised to be better in the future.

It is nice that Ocean realized his mistake and apologized for the same. But it remains to be seen whether the fans forgive him or not.
