Czech Samurai Jiri Prochazka is eagle-eyed for the UFC light heavyweight title. Prochazka failed against Alex Pereira twice at UFC 295 and UFC 303. However, he hasn’t given up hope on it yet. In just a few more hours, “Poatan” defends his light heavyweight belt against No. 1-ranked contender Magomed Ankalaev. Whichever way the PPV main event at UFC 313 goes, Prochazka is coming for what’s his.
The 32-year-old Czech fighter mildly contemplated a division change and a way forward after his second loss to Poatan. Then, he went through former 205-pound champ Jamahal Hill, flatlining him via third-round TKO (strikes) at UFC 311. Now, he is back at it and maps a title shot from the woods.
Fight day is here for us here in the Czech Republic, it’s tomorrow morning, …So I wish you a great fight, both of you guys. And don’t forget! I’m coming. Let’s go for that!

Despite a 2-0 lead, Alex Pereira has readily said he’d give “BJP” another crack at gold. Magomed Ankalaev, though, has never crossed paths with him. So, if the Dagestani was to cause a massive title upset at UFC 313, this would be an interesting matchup. He promised changes and delivered vs. “Sweet Dreams.” Despite some heat on his flow-state hands down fighting, he put on quite a striking clinic.

Prochazka also mitigated range optimally and found some success the first time around, chasing the vacant 205-pound strap at UFC 295. Hence, he is sure he can make the needed adjustments and win against Poatan. If luck would have it, he might just get a chance.
Champion Alex Pereira battling four curses before UFC 313 PPV event headliner vs. Magomed Ankalaev
UFC lightweight champion Alex Pereira has been a reckoning in his short time with the promotion. However, Sambo expert Magomed Ankalaev marks a stiff test, different from the rest. Ankalaev never really had to bank on his wrestling, yet. So, a steady crawl and double-leg threat remains on the card.

However, it’s not these that Pereira’s karmic balance needs to fill in. The champion recently linked up with rapper Drake; now, everyone know of the ‘Drake Curse’ where a large bet to prop by him means a loss on the record! After dapping it up with him, Drake might just roll his way and bet big money on him. He broke it once at the historic UFC 300 PPV card.
There’s the EA Sports ‘Cover Curse.’ Even big names like Conor McGregor, Alexander Volkanovski, Valentina Shevchenko, and such faced career slumps right after it. Alex Pereira recently made the cover for EA Sports™ UFC® 6 for PS5. To sum up the bad voodoo, the promo vinyl is from UFC 287 weigh-ins. It’s the only time the fighter did not tout his Pataxó headgear/face paint and lost right after!
It’s been funny ride while it lasted my guys 🗿🗿

Speaking of UFC 287, there’s the ‘Israel Adesanya‘ curse. The Kiwi-Nigerian has placed big bets as a Stake.com ambassador and lost. Mending fences, this time, he pitched in on Pereira to win at UFC 313! Lastly, there is a ‘Fighter of the Year’ curse, and he is sitting smack in the middle of it.
