UFC Freedom 250 features two major heavyweight bouts. The co-main event featuring Alex Pereira vs Ciryl Gane will be contested for the interim heavyweight title. Meanwhile, veteran knockout artist Derrick Lewis will take on undefeated contender Josh Hokit. One person who is keeping an eye on the bouts is none other than the undisputed heavyweight title holder, Tom Aspinall.
Aspinall has not competed since his UFC 321 main event where Gane landed severe eye-pokes that stopped the bout entirely. So far, the British heavyweight has not received proper medical clearance to train for bouts. As such, he is keeping a close eye on the heavyweight fights happening at the White House this weekend.
Despite having knockout power, Tom Aspinall doesn’t think Alex Pereira will walk out as the winner of the UFC Freedom 250’s co-main event.
I think Ciryl can stop him as well, I think it would be later in the fight though I think it would be like round 4 or 5 because Ciryl’s fast faster than most light heavy’s and he’s a heavy really big guy as well. I think he could systematically break him down most likely win on points but he could do a late stoppage as well in my opinion.

Tom Aspinall has his say on Alex Pereira vs Ciryl Gane and he is firmly in the Ciryl Gane camp on this one though does believe Alex could KO Gane he thinks it will be Gane that wins this.

Meanwhile, for the Hokit vs Lewis bout, the British heavyweight didn’t go with the experienced veteran. In recent times, ‘The Black Beast’ has struggled whenever the opposition slips through his knockout shots, and try to wrestle him.
Serghei Spivak submitted Lewis in 2023, and Jailton Almeida outwrestled the veteran for five rounds in the same year. Since then, Lewis isn’t getting any younger, and may have lost his physical peak, considering how he lost his last fight. This is why Aspinall is picking the rising contender, Hokit, to upset the all-time UFC leader in knockouts.
Derrick Lewis starts to drift off a little bit when he starts getting hit and getting tired. Waldo fight was not great. I don’t think his gas tank was ever there. I think Hokit brings way too much to the table. I think Hokit should should win pretty comfortably.

Once he gets cleared medically, the divisional champion hopes to get his career back on track. The interim title fight winner will likely face Aspinall in the future. Meanwhile, Hokit has found momentum in recent times, and a victory over ‘The Black Beast’ could put him in the title picture.
Alex Pereira claims Josh Hokit may get fired after UFC Freedom 250
Josh Hokit has attracted numerous controversies in a short amount of time. The trash-talking rising star doesn’t mind dishing out insults to anyone. Former middleweight and light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, has remained one of his frequent target.

Using the ‘Chama’ chant back at ‘Poatan’ with an insult remains Hokit’s go-to trash-talk material. So far, Pereira has not shown any signs of getting affected by the trash-talk.
Nevertheless, if both fighters keep winning, they are on course to have a showdown sometime next year. For now, ‘Poatan’ didn’t feel the need to address the antics of Hokit. With that, he claimed that the promotion may cut Hokit after the UFC Freedom 250 event.
He’s already on the [White House] card, there’s no way to take him off. But I don’t know what his future will be after this fight. Whether he’ll still be part of the organization or not, I really don’t know. I’ve already heard some things, but I can’t talk about them. So I don’t need to think about him, because I don’t even know if he’s going to still be around.

Considering the polarizing appeal of Josh Hokit, the UFC may not cut him. Moreover, if he wins like Aspinall predicted him to, there is another contender at the top of the lackluster heavyweight division. As such, Pereira may have said all that just to play mind games with Hokit.
If Pereira loses against Gane at the White House, the promotion may book ‘Poatan’ vs ‘The Incredible Hok’ as soon as possible, considering how Sean Strickland got the title shot over Nassourdine Imavov to book a lucrative fight against Khamzat Chimaev this year. It all depends on what the UFC wants.
