Alex Pereira set to return: Signs with LFA

Alex Pereira has managed to the headines once again. Only this time, it’s not for knocking Israel Adesanya out. Pereira(2-1), the reigning GLORY Kickboxing middleweight champion and interim light heavyweight champion, has signed with LFA. He was in the news for being the last, and ONLY man to hand UFC middleweight champ Israel Adesanya a loss(via KO). And that pretty much speaks for itself.
Date and opponent for Pereira’s LFA debut is yet to be announced

Pereira, is best known as the man who knocked Israel Adesanya out. The two crossed paths for the second time at Glory of Heroes 7 in Brazil, where Pereira KO’d Adesanya. This would be Adesanya’s last loss, as he would subsequently sign with UFC and going on to dominate the middleweight division. Adesanya is yet to be defeated inside the octagon.
Pereira will return to MMA for the first time in more than four years, with his most recent fight being a knockout win in May 2016 against Marcus Vinicius Fialho da Silveira via TKO. The date and opponent for Pereira’s LFA debut is yet to be announced. With Pereira making his return, the door to numerous promotions and potential fights has opened up. The most exciting one being a rematch with Adesanya.
