Just moments after Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce with Ben Affleck, New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez dropped a cryptic note on Instagram. His message confused netizens as they wondered whether it was directed to J-Lo’s divorce filing or just a random thought he put on social media.

A-Rod’s and Jennifer Lopez’s romance took the media by storm as well as their breakup. Many were heartbroken to see the starstruck lovers separate and wished for the couple to get together once again. Looking back at the latest post, many believe his message was for J-Lo.

Lopez filed for divorce on Tuesday in the County Superior Court in LA. Her petition was given on the day J-Lo and Ben Affleck had their two year anniversary. 

Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez ended their engagement back in 2021, and shortly afterward the Grammy Award winner started dating Ben Affleck. The duo’s dating period was cut short as they proceeded with their engagement and marriage on 16 July 2022.

They both noted in a joint statement that they wish each other good luck and hope to remain in touch through business and friendship. The mega-couple was often seen actively participating and supporting each other in public events during their time together.

We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so," the statement said. "We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children.
