The event is scheduled prior to the NY Yankees game against the Colorado Rockies. A-Rod being a part of this event will be a focal sight, noting his contribution to the title games.

During the playoff he hit .307, adding 6 HRs, and 18 RBIs in 15 games. Although his contributions to the team are notable, the club has yet to retire his number since the scandal of using PEDs.

Will Alex Rodriguez ever get No.13 retired by the NY Yankees?

During his 22-year MLB career, Alex Rodriguez maybe has heard the most cheers and boos in the Yankees stadium. Despite Hall of Fame’s worthy performance, his connection with PED complicated his relationship with the club.

The New York Yankees are still debating whether to retire No.13 or not. A-Rod was also the one with the longest MLB suspension due to using performance-enhancing drugs. He was suspended throughout the rest of 2013 and the full 2014 season for 214 games, but later got reduced to 162 games through appeals.

He admitted that his number not being retiredbothers” him, and he would love to see No.13 in Monument Park, “…that would be a dream come true,” he said. Since his retirement, he’s been involved with business ventures but is popularly known for his voice as an analyst.
