The trash talk between Alex Volkanovski and the man who called him an “overgrown midget”, Henry Cejudo, has continued after a cheeky post by the Australian on Tuesday.

Cejudo shocked the sport in May when he announced his immediate retirement after defeating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 to defend his bantamweight belt.

The Verbal Attack on Volkanovski

Cejudo took a swipe at featherweight champion Volkanovski, who he said is the only fighter he’d come out of retirement to face.

I’m satisfied with my career. There would only be one fight that would really bring me back, that would really wake me up in the morning. That’s against other than Ryan Garcia, that would be Alexander Volkanovski, that overgrown midget,” he told TMZ.

“I would love to make him bend the knee. He’s already halfway there.”

Cejudo has continued to take shots on social media, also calling Volkanovski an “overgrown baboon” and telling him he will become his “rightful king”.

Volkanovski’s Response

Volkanovski has now responded on social media, posting a picture of him reading from his children’s book, ‘Alexander the Great’.

On his lap sits a child with Cejudo’s head superimposed. “Come on son, let me tell you a story!” Volkanovski wrote.

Volkanovski took the featherweight belt in December 2019 after beating Max Holloway. He then defended the belt in a rematch last month on UFC’s Fight Island.

On Alex’s tweet, Henry retweeted,” I’d rather get a gift since you got one w/your fight against Holloway. I’ve seen better Decisions on 90 Day Fiance”.
