Alexander Zverev Promises to Be Nicer to ‘Lovely Little’ Sam Querrey After Roasting Him for Not Believing He Can Win Major

Sam who? Sam who? These two words continued to run through Sam Querrey‘s mind days after he finished his duties for TNT Sports’ coverage of Roland Garros. He has started to have nightmares about the way Alexander Zverev roasted him on live television.
So when Querrey finally reached his home, he flopped onto the couch, ready to relax. “I love Roland Garros, but it’s nice to be home,” said Querrey on the Instagram reel he posted on Wednesday (June 10).
His wife, Abby Dixon, came to him and asked whether he was really fine after getting trolled by Zverev. “And you promise you’re okay about that Zverev thing? That didn’t bother you?” asked Dixon, to which he replied: “Totally! It’s just like a fun little bit we have with each other. It’s all good.“
No, Querrey was not totally fine. Because the moment he fell asleep, the ‘Zverev thing’ started haunting him. Zverev’s “Sam who?” replayed in his mind while he stirred in his sleep, before waking up with a start, drenched in cold sweat, and yelling: “Sam who?“
Here’s the video:
Zverev loved the video. And he has promised to never troll his ‘lovely little’ Querrey, writing in the comment section:
Awwwww I love you @samquerrey I promise I’ll be nicer to my lovely little podcaster. No I do love you tho and you know that.
So this only concludes that there’s no bad blood between Querrey and Zverev. The American former ATP ace had predicted that Sascha would never win a Major in his career, and Zverev did not forget his comment. After his five-set victory over Flavio Cobolli in the final of Roland Garros, Zverev, while talking to TNT Sports, roasted Querrey.
Why are you on this channel? Who hired you? Why are you here? You got all champions, and then you got Sam Querrey. […] First of all, I’m very happy that I’m holding this, because you said I never will. So thank you very much for your confidence. For the people that don’t know, we have a love-hate relationship. I actually love it. I love giving you a hard time.

Greg Rusedski on whether Alexander Zverev will win Wimbledon
Now that the French Open is done and dusted, many players have shifted their focus toward the grass swing. But Alexander Zverev withdrew from the ongoing Stuttgart Open.

Zverev, the winner of 25 singles titles, has never tasted success on grass. He has, however, played three finals on the surface, including in Stuttgart last year, losing the match to Taylor Fritz. After Sascha’s Roland Garros win, Greg Rusedski, on the Off Court with Greg podcast, said he doesn’t think Zverev will be one of the favorites to win at Wimbledon.
He can relax into it now. He can go after it. For me, Wimbledon, does he have a shot to win? I still think that’s not the best surface for him. But I feel like once you get to the US Open, you can kind of put him in the mix now with [Jannik] Sinner. And we don’t know where [Carlos] Alcaraz is going to be, if he’s going to be back or not. But delighted for Zverev. No more question marks. You’re a Grand Slam champion, deservedly so.
Wimbledon is the only tournament where Zverev has never made it past the fourth round. He has reached the round of 16 thrice, while last year, he crashed out in the opening round. Wimbledon starts on June 29. Sinner will be competing as the defending champion. Last year’s runner-up, Alcaraz, withdrew due to his wrist injury.
