Tennis pro Alexander Zverev hit back at a journalist during the press conference after his Roland Garros match. With his trial still in the news and numerous reports emerging, the press is eager for more comments from Zverev, who got frustrated giving the same answer multiple times.
Recently, Alexander Zverev’s domestic abuse trial reached an out-of-court settlement with his ex-girlfriend Brenda Patea. Despite the proceedings, the German tennis star remained focused on his game and played without distraction. However, the settlement does not imply a verdict of guilt or innocence; it simply means both parties agreed to resolve the matter privately.
Even the press had doubts about whether Zverev was found innocent or guilty after the case was dropped, and one journalist brought it up during the presser.
That's what dropping the case is. That is innocence. They are not going to drop the case if you are guilty. At the end of the day, I don't know what translations you have but that's what it means. Done, we move on, I never ever wanna hear another question about this subject again.Alexander Zverev said to the press

Fans react to Alexander Zverev’s comments
After Alexander Zverev slammed the journalist for bringing up his domestic abuse trial, the clip of his response has since gone viral. Fans were quick to react to Zverev’s comment. One fan wrote on X, “Well done! Please, don’t answer similar questions from other journalists ever. They must learn!”

However, many others criticized Zverev’s way of replying to the journalist. Over the past few months, Zverev has faced repeated questions about his trial, and it seems the constant scrutiny finally got to him.
He doesn’t get to choose what people ask him, he can’t bully his way through press conferences like he bullies women at home.

Settlement doesn’t prove innocence – it just makes the problem (charges) go away.
I strongly encourage every journalist to keep asking him about it.
Oh, but he will. Twitter will make sure it follows him.

If he keeps his hands to himself he won't have to.

Dropping the case is not innocence but because you have come to an agreement with your ex. Still a ? against your name even if you are innocent, which we will never know

Nevertheless, the trial has not distracted the German from playing at the French Open. From the very start, he has been unstoppable, playing great tennis to find himself in the finals once again.
Last year, Zverev missed his chance to clinch the title, losing to Novak Djokovic. This time, he faces Carlos Alcaraz in another exciting match to finish the French Open. Fans are sure to expect some great tennis from both players.
In Case You Missed It:
- “I think now is the right time,” Alexander Zverev confident of getting past Carlos Alcaraz in Roland Garros Final
- “I have a special feeling to this tournament,” Carlos Alcaraz describes how winning Roland Garros one day is something very close to his heart
