Barcelona Femini skipper Alexia Putellas scored a stunning goal in a massive 4-0 win over Real Madrid in the El Clasico. It marked the Spaniard’s 199th goal for the club, putting her name among the all-time top-scorers in the Catalan club’s history.
Barcelona Femeni, with the victory over Real Madrid, extended their lead on top of the Spanish Primera Division table by eight points. The club is now first on the league table with 30 points, having won ten out of their ten matches this season.
Moreover, it marked the club’s 16th straight victory over their arch-rivals in the history of the women’s El Claisco. Patricia Guijarro scored a brace for the Catalan side, while Claudia Pina and Alexia Putellas scored a goal each to add to the impressive 4-0 scoreline.
The Barca Femeni skipper capped off a brilliant display with a sensational 86th minute strike. She chipped the ball over the Real Madrid keeper to put it into the back of the net. It was a result of a brilliant play by Aitana Bonmati, who passed it to Kika Nazareth, who in turn assisted Putellas.
Moreover, it marked her 199th goal for the club, as she surpassed Luis Suarez to become the club’s all-time third highest goal scorer. She is now only behind Cesar Rodrigues (232 goals) and Lionel Messi (672 goals).

Putellas had scored a similar goal against AC Milan earlier this season, putting a stunner from the half-way line into the back of the net. Meanwhile, the defeat left Real Madrid increasingly frustrated, as both the men’s and women’s side have now lost the El Clasico with similar scorelines this season.
Vicky Lopez signs a long-term contract with Barcelona Femeni after Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmati
Barcelona Femeni starlet Vicky Lopez is now the third player to sign a fresh new contract at the club, securing her future for the years to come. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is seen as a future Ballon d’Or Feminin candidate.

Vicky has now established her place in the Barca Femeni first team. At just 18 years old, she has shown exceptional qualities, with some even comparing her to the likes of 17-year-old La Masia star Lamine Yamal.
She has now renewed her contract with the Catalan club until 2028. Vicky Lopez has already made 11 appearances this season in all competitions and has scored three goals.
