The teams are ready and the stage has been set. With just two teams remaining at the Euros in Germany, fans are brimming with excitement at the possibility of either Spain or England lifting the European championship on the 14th of July. Olympiastadion Berlin will host the final as either Luis de la Fuente or Gareth Southgate will lead their men to glory.
With just days to go for the final, players are engaged in last minute preparations and training sessions. A clip of Lamine Yamal going head-to-head with captain Alvaro Morata has taken social media by storm. As per reports, Spain held a 1v1 tournament for their players, with Morata and Yamal making the final respectively. In the showdown that followed, fans were surprised to the teenager clearly outclassed by his captain.

The clip features Morata running rings around the 17-year-old, scoring multiple goals against the Barcelona player. The 31-year-old even attempted a nutmeg finish on the teenager, much to the surprise of his teammates who watched on from the sidelines.
Fans claimed that despite his brilliant display against France and Germany, the youngster has a lot to learn on the way.
‘Humble’ Lamine Yamal instantly strikes down Lionel Messi comparisons
To be compared to Lionel Messi is easily one of the biggest achievements in any player’s career. If there is any player in European football that deserves the same, it is Spanish winger Lamine Yamal. The 17-year-old has quite literally been the main man for La Roja at the Euros, with 4 goal contributions up until the semi-finals. In a recent interview however, the youngster was humble enough to deny any comparison to the Argentine No.10.

I don't think anyone would be bothered to be compared to Lionel Messi. He's the best in history. These comparisons reduce your value as you'll never be him.Lamine Yamal told Gerard Romero via Jijantes FC
The 17-year-old’s brilliance on the pitch has drawn several comparisons to FC Barcelona‘s greatest player ever. With Yamal playing for the same team, the comparisons have only increased.
Recently, Messi and Yamal took the spotlight for a ‘prophesied’ photoshoot, wherein the Argentine was spotted ‘blessing’ a baby Lamine Yamal back in 2005. Fans couldn’t help but be excited for what the teenager has in store for the future. With a screamer of a goal in the semi-final, Luis de la Fuente will hope that the same will occur against England.
