Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo was left rejoicing after he scored a brilliant match-winning goal for the club during their EPL outing against Southampton. It comes just days after the 22-year-old forward signed a new five-year-long contract at the club.

Ruben Amorim‘s side seemed almost set to suffer their fourth straight Premier League defeat against the bottom-placed Southampton side. However, a late resurgence led to Manchester United claiming a crucial 3-1 victory. It ended the club’s poor form in the EPL, as they leaped to the 12th position on the table with 26 points. It also marked Amorim’s sixth win in charge of Man Utd.

Southampton had taken a first-half lead through Manuel Ugarte‘s own goal. The visitors held on to their lead until the 82nd minute, when Amad Diallo scored the equalizer. He then took his side ahead with another goal in the 90th minute, volleying Christian Eriksen‘s assist. Completing his hat trick in just 12 minutes, Diallo scored his third by slotting into an empty net, capitalizing on Taylor Harwood-Bellis‘ error.

The 22-year-old forward helped his side avoid a humiliating defeat. It marked the youngster’s ninth goal, putting him on top of the club’s goal-scorers’ list this season. The Ivorian striker also etched his name in Man Utd’s history books. He netted the third fastest hat trick in the club’s history, with only Teddy Sheringham (10 minutes) and Ole Gunnar Solskjear (11 minutes) ahead of him.

Not just that, the 22-year-old forward also became just the third player in Premier League history to score three goals in the final ten minutes of a match. Manchester United will definitely be relying on the youngster’s abilities when they next take on Brighton.

Manchester United reject Napoli’s bid to sign out-of-favor forward Alejandro Garnacho

Recent reports suggest that Manchester United have rejected Napoli’s opening bid to sign forward Alejandro Garnacho this month. The Italian side fell short of United’s valuation for the Argentine forward, offering only £40 million.

Garnacho has seen his role reduce at the club under manager Ruben Amorim, starting just six out of the last 13 matches. He has also failed to score even once during the club’s last 11 encounters. Amid uncertainty over his future, the 20-year-old forward is being targeted by Napoli, who are seeking an effective replacement for PSG-bound Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

With Napoli’s initial offer rejected, United are demanding in excess of £70 to £80 million to sell their prized asset. It comes despite the forward remaining in Amorim’s plans for the future.
