Reigning two-division women’s champion Amanda Nunes will be defending her featherweight title against a physically-intimidating Megan Anderson at UFC 259. The Australian towers at a staggering 6 feet, with a largely superior reach advantage, and she is extremely powerful as well. However, the ‘Lioness’ believes that it is she who is going usher in the power, come the 6th of March.

Speaking at the UFC 259 pre-fight press conference, Amanda Nunes revealed that she would be the first true featherweight possessing insane power that Megan Anderson would have ever fought.

I think styles make fights

Amanda Nunes was quoted as saying, “I feel like I’m the first true featherweight that she’s fought that brings a lot of power. I know Felicia (Spencer’s) a featherweight, but I think styles make fights. I think I have a lot of power that I bring to the table, and I don’t think she’s seen that in a very long time.”

Amanda Nunes has been a woman possessed since her loss to Cat Zingano, way back at UFC 178 in 2014. She has never looked back, since that loss and has destroyed all her opponents who have stood in her path. She is riding a win streak of 11, which is Megan Anderson’s total career wins.

Nunes is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Felicia Spencer at UFC 250, an opponent who Megan Anderson failed to defeat. Megan Anderson, the underdog, will be looking forward to using her physical superiority and her huge reach advantage to produce an upset.

Will it be regulatory victory for Amanda Nunes? Or can the towering Megan Anderson tame ‘The Lioness’?
